Evidence and limits
What stands behind a reading, and where it stops.
We make a few claims on this site. This page shows what each one rests on, and what we do not claim.
The register: 22,608 passages, over 130 texts
We read the classical texts line by line and gathered their rules and passages into one register: 22,608 entries from over 130 works. They include Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, the Jaimini Upadesa Sutras, Phaladeepika, Saravali and Sarvartha Chintamani, with their translations and later works. Each entry is sorted by the part of life it speaks to: character, marriage, children, work, money and the seasons of life.
You can see one passage for each part of life, with its source, on the texts page.
A source beside every finding
Every finding in your reading names the text it comes from, with chapter and verse where the text gives them. Where the texts disagree, your reading says so, and shows both sides.
How we tested the timing rules
The classical texts also give rules for when events come: a marriage, a child, a change of work. Before trusting them, we tested them against real lives: charts we have read, and public birth-data collections such as Astro-Databank and the Gauquelin archive.
Each test was written down, with how it would be judged, before we looked at any result. This is called pre-registration. It stops anyone, including us, from moving the goalposts afterwards.
The timing rules we tested did not predict when events happened. So the written reading gives no dates of events. It describes your nature, your tendencies and the seasons of life.
What we do not claim
- We do not predict dates of events.
- We do not predict lifespan or death, diagnose illness, or judge fertility.
- We do not promise wealth, success or a partner.
- We do not sell remedies or rituals, and we never use fear.
- A reading is guidance for reflection and decisions. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
What we keep checking
The work does not stop at launch. When a test changes what we believe, we change the reading and this page. Questions about our method are welcome: write to [email protected].
